Call or text the DC Victim Hotline at 1-844-443-5732 or chat https://dcvictim.org/dcvh-chat/ to talk with an Advocate about your rights and options. They can help you access immediate medical care, report to police if you wish, and access other resources based on your choices and needs. All services are free of charge and your conversations with them are confidential.
- To report what happened to you to the police, call 911. 911 is equipped with TTY and is also accessible by text. Police are required to obtain an ASL interpreter for you.
- Advocates can meet you at the hospital when you’re seeking a SANE exam, or at the location of an interview with police or any other District government agency.
